Ottawa man allegedly caught bringing $130K in fake U.S. cash into Canada

MISSISSAUGA - The RCMP says a man has been arrested and charged after allegedly being found carrying more than US$130,000 in counterfeit $100 bills.
The Mounties say a man returning from Ghana was intercepted last Thursday by the Canada Border Services Agency at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Police say the officers discovered counterfeit U.S. notes concealed within the inner lining of three handbags and the RCMP was contacted.
A 36-year-old Ottawa man is charged with unlawful introduction of counterfeit money into Canada and unlawful custody of counterfeit money.
A bail hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.
